The 12th Annual Forum 2025, hosted by the Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI), brought together the nation’s leading policymakers, industry leaders, and visionaries in New Delhi to discuss the path forward for India’s dynamic states. In this special Partner State Session, “Telangana 2025 – Vision Telangana Rising,” Celkon Group was honoured to participate—represented by our Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Y. Guruswamy Naidu—as distinguished discussants charted the roadmap for the state’s future.

An Ambitious Vision for Telangana’s Future

The Honourable Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, delivered the session’s keynote address. His remarks mapped a bold 2047 vision, aiming to transform Telangana into not only a $1 trillion economy by 2035 but also a $3 trillion powerhouse by 2047. The Chief Minister’s vision is strikingly holistic—anchored in innovation, infrastructure, sustainable growth, and most importantly, inclusivity. A core theme was the commitment to double Telangana’s contribution to national GDP from 5% to 10%, supported by targeted reforms and investment incentives.

Reimagining Urban, Semi-Urban, and Rural Telangana

CM Reddy outlined a three-tier development plan:

  • Core Urban Region: Focused on upgrading service sectors, systematic urban infrastructure renewal, and a massive planned expansion of Hyderabad’s Metro Rail, aiming to increase daily ridership from 500,000 to 1.5 million.
  • Semi-Urban/Manufacturing Zone: Promotion of the China Plus One strategy, incentives and infrastructure for manufacturing, establishment of satellite townships, and the construction of a regional ring rail to complement the regional ring road.
  • Rural/Agricultural Telangana: Leveraging fertile land for organic agriculture, boosting exports, and planning for expressways and railway links to improve access to ports for global trade.

A central highlight was the announcement of the new “Bharat Future City,” planned as a hub integrating education, healthcare, AI, EV, and more, representing the state’s forward-thinking approach to urban planning.

Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

The CM stressed the role of sustainability, envisioning Hyderabad as a net-zero city by 2027. Plans include converting the city’s fleet of 3,000 RTC buses to electric vehicles and offering 100% tax exemption for EVs—initiatives that have already positioned Telangana as a national leader in EV adoption. Additional projects include Musi River revitalization, enhanced water grids, and integration of cultural landmarks to promote tourism.

Celkon Group: Championing Electronics and MSME Growth

Our CMD, Mr. Y. Guruswamy Naidu, was proud to highlight Telangana’s evolution as an electronics-manufacturing powerhouse, noting the supportive MSME and skill policies that have underpinned two decades of industry advancement. Mr. Naidu called for:

  • Greater focus on electronics components manufacturing, leveraging government subsidies for component production.
  • Expansion of R&D and design centers, supported by Telangana’s extraordinary pool of skilled workers.
  • The establishment of knowledge hubs in partnership with renowned institutions, drawing global talent and investment to Telangana.

He affirmed that Celkon, together with other industry leaders, stands ready to work alongside the government to boost GDP, exports, and job creation, further cementing Telangana’s role as a hub for electronics and technology.

Advancing Education and Skills for Tomorrow

The Forum also spotlighted the Young India Skills University initiative—a public-private partnership led by industry stalwarts such as Anand Mahindra and supported by leading institutions and corporates including Celkon Group. This innovative approach aims to bridge the skills gap, ensuring the state’s engineering graduates fulfill industry needs and are workforce-ready. With initiatives in sports, education, and technical training, Telangana is positioning itself to nurture talent for the next generation of growth.

The Road Ahead

The session concluded with an open invitation from the Chief Minister: to invest, partner, and become brand ambassadors for “Telangana Rising 2047.” With a foundation in reforms, innovation, and inclusive development, Telanaga’s journey is a shared vision—and Celkon Group is proud to be part of this transformative era.

As discussions at the 12th Annual Forum showed, Telangana is on the cusp of a historic leap— driven by industry, powered by vision.
